1998 was certainly full of "life-changing" experiences for me, beginning with the loss of Shirley on January 12, and continuing through my "official" move back "home" from Texas. I spent much of the year finding out just how much I'd missed by living that far away for 20-plus years.
Carol was not the only person who noticed that I was pretty disorganized for someone who had to manage two households, but she did something about it by getting me one of those (battery-less) organizer/planners for Christmas.
As I was happily populating the organizer with important dates, addresses and phone numbers that had previously been kept (usually lost, actually) in a multitude of different 3x5 card binders, I called a lot of people to get updated information or to fill in gaps. Enough people said "I am so glad you are getting all this stuff written down" I was very open to Carol's suggestion that we find a way to share it.
Since I already maintain three Geocities web sites, I suggested to Carol that she get one and I'd help her maintain it. We have 25MB available, and I hope we use that up very quickly (we can get more).
